Monthly Status Reports

Project Monthly Status Report Project Summary Tax Preparation Software, 19 February, Project Manager, X Software Company. Monthly Status Report.
Tax preparation software for the next tax season being developed by our company consists of a project development team of ten software developers working together but located across the country.
Deliverables: Tax preparation software that is fully operational before the next tax season for preparing and filing taxes with IRS automatically. The software is under development and budget and due for approval shortly.
Project Risks: The two risks pertinent to this project are
Tax Domain Expertise – Software developers are chosen with proficiency in Tax laws.
Trust in security and privacy – Secured encrypted software is developed
Also the tax season is hectic, there is no scope for loopholes or flaw, the final product needs to be perfect, therefore enough testing is being carried out to make it function exactly according to the software requirements.

Conclusion
Till date the project is on schedule and under the budget however the recent issues that might affect the delivery and costs are: leaving of one developer who is critical to get approval from the IRS, hurricane season where three developers are located and three day long weekend. Therefore it is being recommended that one more developer needed to be added in the team who knows how to get approval for the final product from the IRS and his contribution will put the project on schedule if it gets affected by any of these issues.
